Omar joined the EBF Board in 2020. An active member of Asni community, where he was born and raised, Omar learned English language at Kasbah Tamadot after Richard Branson took on the property. He was among many local villagers who were given the opportunity to train in hotel industry skills, after dropping out of school at a young age. His first formal position was as a waiter and today he is Food and Beverage Manager at the property.
Omar has been involved in charity work for many years and as a member of the Association of Parents of the Primary school, he is eager to advocate education in the Berber community as the most important path to development, supporting different learning approaches. He is working now on a music project to help more children access the opportunity to play a musical instrument.
Omar is committed to continuing Eve's work in the mountains and improve access to education and training programmes for all families in the region.
