Our Partners
Meet our wonderful and supportive group of partners...
Kasbah Tamadot: Kasbah Tamadot is part of Virgin Limited Edition, Sir Richard Branson’s collection of unique retreats and luxury hotels. Set in the heart of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, the award-winning property employs 98% of its staff from the local Berber community and works hand in hand with the Eve Branson Foundation (EBF) to develop a range of initiatives. Find out more here.
Virgin Unite: We are lucky enough to be a grantee of Virgin Unite, the Virgin Group’s charitable foundation. Virgin Unite’s mission is to connect people and entrepreneurial ideas to make positive change happen, driving business as a force for good. Find out more here.
Dental Mavericks: The Dental Mavericks is a charity founded in 2010 with the aim to provide dental care for children in Morocco. To date, the charity has facilitated treatments for more than 30,000 children. EBF has been working with the Dental Mavericks since 2014 and is proud to help their mission to provide pain-free dental care and education about the importance of toothbrushing. If you are a dentist, dental nurse or hygienist and would like to get involved with our 2021 mission, please click here.
OliveSeed: The OliveSeed Alliance is a U.S.- based charity with programmes in literacy, libraries, and environmental education. Through the Morocco Library Project, OliveSeed has developed high-quality English libraries and writing projects at public high schools in rural Morocco in over 30 locations, in close collaboration with teachers. EBF has recently joined forces with OliveSeed to develop a new library and literacy initiative in Asni, the gateway market town of the High Atlas Mountains. Find out more here.
A special thanks to the generosity of our donors around the world...
Pat Hull - Thanks to the enormous generosity of individual major donor Pat Hull from PHull Holdings, EBF was able to establish a woodwork training centre in the Atlas Mountains for school-leavers. Pat leaves a remarkable legacy and through the woodwork programme, he created a pathway to sustainability and employment for young men who would otherwise have no or little access to vocational training programes.
Climb Morocco - Every year, Virgin Atlantic Captain Chris Hall leads hundreds of staff on adventures around the world. The premise is simple: have fun and do good. Along the way, the adventurers push themselves to the limit, learn about the local communities and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds. Climb Morocco takes place every December, offering a once in a lifetime experience to climb the 4,167 metre high Mount Toubkal located in the High Atlas Mountains. Over £100,000 has been raised to date for our programmes thanks to the generosity of dozens of adventurers.
British Polo Day: In 2013, Eve hosted a Polo Match in Morocco at the Jnan Amar Polo Resort in Marrakech, to raise funds for the foundation. The following year, EBF joined forces with British Polo Day and with their team’s experience, the event flourished into an unmissable fundraising fixture on the calendar. With funds from our 2015 event, we were able to build the new weaving centre in Tamgounssi.
We are also fortunate to work with talented collaborators who have helped to shape our programmes:
David Bult of Green Sahara Furniture: David Bult is a furniture maker and designer, originally based in Casablanca, Morocco. Since 2015, David has developed training programmes for EBF’s Tansghart Woodwork Centre helping trainees to produce bespoke furniture and carved items that are unique, handcrafted, and sustainably-made.
Zaeem Jamal: We are honoured to partner with luxury womenswear fashion designer Zaeem Jamal whose beautiful designs have inspired EBF’s creative direction. Zaeem and his fantastic team kindly design and produce labelling for EBF garments sold at the Berber Boutique.
Mushmina: US Design duo Mushmina are committed to supporting artisans globally and collaborate with EBF to provide colour theory workshops and new clothing patterns. Their focus is on women’s empowerment and through the partnership, women at our craft centres are now able sell exclusive designs reaching new markets.
