If you’re planning a visit to Marrakech, then our one-day ‘Berber Food, Drink & Artisan Crafts’ tour is a must. We have created an off-the-beaten track social impact experience in partnership with Airbnb Experiences, providing travellers with an authentic, behind-the-scenes visit.

Social Impact experiences are inspiring activities to promote awareness, create long-term advocates, and raise funds – Airbnb waives its fees, so 100% goes directly to the Eve Branson Foundation.

Transport is provided by a reputable executive car company and all remaining funds go back into providing training programmes for local people in the Atlas Mountains.

This immersive day takes in the traditional Berber villages of Tansghart & Tamgounssi. Nestled in the High Atlas mountains,1300 metres above sea level, these peaceful villages are tucked away from the regular tourist routes.

Guests are collected from central Marrakech, stopping en route at Tahanaout local food market for the ingredients for a traditional Berber lunch. Arriving at our weaving centre Tamgounssi, you will meet local women and craft teachers, watch local bread or ‘khobz’ being made in traditional clay ovens, pick herbs for a Berber mint tea ritual and then enjoy a traditional tagine cookery lesson.

Take part in wood-carving, weaving or rug-making on a traditional loom with our artisans. Other craft activities include pom-pom embroidery and jewellery-making. Discover the hidden world of the Berbers whilst making a positive impact on these communities.

Tours are bookable directly with Airbnb.
